China's Economic System Reform of This Year Focuses on 11 Areas

The China Government Net on May 31 published the full text of the Circular Approved and Transmitted by the State Council to the National Development and Reform Commission Concerning the Key Working Opinion on Deepening Economic System Reform in 2010, focusing on 11 areas related to economic system reform throughout the year.

"Focus on transforming economic growth pattern, guarantee and improve the people's livelihood and deepen reform and make great efforts to enhance the inner force of growth and the capacity of sustained development to lay a solid systemic foundation for the sweeping victory over the international financial crisis as well as the smooth implementation of the '12th Five-Year' Plan." This year's Opinion on economic system reform made clear the purpose from the very beginning.
Head of the Institute of Economic System and Management under the National Development and Reform Commission Nie Gaomin analyzed while having an interview with the reporter of Xinhua News Agency that this year's measures of China to cope with the international financial crisis have gained obvious effects, with the task of transforming growth pattern more pressing. In terms of long term, it is necessary to utilize reform to boost the transformation of growth pattern.

"To transform growth pattern and perfect the socialist market economic system are the issues from the angles of development and reform respectively. It is clearer and clearer in recent two years that the in-depth issue for transforming growth pattern is still the system, which shall be solved through reform." Nie stated.
