Entry Agricultural Products from Taiwan Region by Petty Trade May Enjoy Facilitation Measures

Fujian Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau of P. R. China passed the Administrative Measures for Inspection & Quarantine on Petty Trade with Taiwan Region (Trial), in accordance with the principle of "equal priority, appropriate relaxation, simplified procedures, easy access", a series of facilitation measures shall apply to the entry agricultural products from Taiwan region by the mode of petty trade, including convenient Customs declaration, simplified procedures, quick Customs release, and relaxed approval.
During the Customs declaration, the inspection & quarantine authorities at the port of entry shall set up special windows for the Customs declaration and inspection, and give a priority to the Customs declaration of the agricultural products through petty trade with Taiwan region. Meanwhile, services like booked Customs declaration and inspection shall be provided, which shall enjoy a preferential acceptance.
Where enterprises engaged in petty trade with Taiwan region or their agents are declaring Taiwan agricultural products for inspection, in case that the complete accompanying materials can not be provided timely, the inspection & quarantine authorities shall first accept the Customs declaration and cope with relevant procedures, and the other materials required can be provided later.
As to the agricultural products originating in Taiwan region, relevant quarantine certificates or sanitary certificates of their sources shall be exempt from submission.
Fujian Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau of P. R. China will, in accordance with the principle of risk analysis and classified management, conduct pointed implementation of facilitation measures for inspection & quarantine and make the best of such measures to rapidly transact release procedures for Taiwan agricultural products, achieving immediate arrangement and release upon inspection.
As to the examination and approval, the inspection & quarantine authorities shall allow one-time approval and batched cancellation after verification for the entry animals & plants and their products from Taiwan region.
