China's MOFCOM Rules Mid-Term Anti-Dumping Review on EU Potato Starch

On April 18, 2011, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) issued its Announcement No. 16, 2011 on the ruling of mid-term dumping and dumping margin review on potato starch originating in the EU.
Therein, the dumping margin of Netherlands' AVEBE and its factories in Germany is determined to be 12.6%, and the dumping margin of France's ROQUETTE Group and other EU companies is determined to be 56.7%.
From April 19, 2011, importers are required to pay China Customs anti-dumping duties according to the rates determined by the ruling, when importing potato starch originating in the EU.
The investigated potato starch in this review, also known as native potato starch, refined potato starch, etc., is mainly used in food industry in China.
This product is under China HS code 11081300 according to the "Customs Import and Export Tariff of the People's Republic of China".
