MOFCOM Announcement No.82, 2014 (on Ends AD on 1,4-BDO from Saudi Arabia & Taiwan Region)

On December 24, 2009, the MOFCOM issued its annual announcement no.106 for levying five-year antidumping (AD) duties on 1,4-BDO (butanediol) from Saudi Arabia and Taiwan region till December 24, 2014.

On July 25, 2014, the MOFCOM issued its annual announcement no. 51 indicating that the aforesaid AD measures would expire on December 24, 2014 and that domestic BDO industrial representatives may, by August 24, 2014, apply in writing to the MOFCOM for corresponding expiry review.

Within the time limit, Chinese mainland BDO industry made no expiry-review application and the MOFCOM also decided not to initiate the review. Hence, as of December 25, 2014, the MOFCOM will revoke its antidumping duty order on the BDOs from Saudi Arabia and Taiwan region.
