China to Raise Scrap Metal Import Duties

Due to the large increase in copper price, besides complex categories of import scraps lacking uniform management, recently the General Administration of Customs of China announced the decision to increase import duties on scrap metals.

Reportedly, the duty on scrap coppers will increase around CNY 200/ton, but the specific margin cannot be predicted yet.
