R. O. Korea Special Tariffs on 23 Kinds of Agric. Imports in 2011

In 2011, the R. O. Korea levies special tariffs on 23 kinds of imported agricultural products to protect domestic producers from impact by the surge of agricultural imports.

According to relevant R. O. Korea's authority, those measures are aimed at such agricultural products as ginseng, mung bean, adzuki bean, peanut, buckwheat, barley, corn, wheat and oat, as well as to apply when any baneful influence on its producers and industries results from sudden surge of agricultural imports or sudden decline of international agricultural product prices.

As being consistent with WTO agreements, such measures are effective from January 1, 2011 till December 31, 2011.
