Belarus to Raise Oil Export Duty to $444.1 Per Tonne on 1 September

On 1 September 2011 Belarus raises export duties on oil and oil products exported outside the Customs Union. The relevant decision laid down by government resolution No. 1151 of 29 August 2011 takes effect on 1 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The crude oil export duty rises from $438.2 to $444.1 per tonne. The export duty on oil containing sulfur will make $205 except for crude produced at Verkhnechonsk, Talakansk, Dulisminsk, Zapadno-Ayansk, Yaraktinsk and Markovsk oil and gas condensate fields, as well as Alinsk and Danilovsk gas and oil fields. The export duty on light oil products (light distillates, middle distillates, gasoils) will be set at $297.5 per tonne, on commercial gasoline and directly distilled gasoline - $399.7.

The duty on heavy petroleum products (liquid fuels, oils, waste oils) will make $207.4, on propane, butanes, ethylene, propylene and butadiene, other liquefied gases - $192, on petroleum jelly, mineral waxes, and similar products - $207.4. Apart from that, the export duty on 1 tonne of oil coke and bitumen, residual oil will amount to $204.6, benzol, toluene and xylenes - $293.6.

The abovementioned resolution introduced amendments to Resolution No. 1932 of the Council of Ministers of 31 December 2010 "On setting export duties on crude oil and some oil products and on abolishing some resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus".
