According to Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Japanese enterprises are generally optimistic about the household appliance and auto market in China and are increasing investment. Hitachi Limited is vigorously expanding its white household appliance business, increased its fund-contribution ratio from 60% to 95% in its joint-ventures in China, and is improving its decision-making system. The joint-venture is major manufacturer of household air-conditioner and washing machines in China. Since it has a complete say, it can guarantee the immediate implementation of the production-increase decision of white goods.
Affected by the financial crisis, the economy of emerging countries including China is slowing down. The demand for cars has slowed down. However, Japanese enterprises have their eyes on the future and are optimistic about the Chinese market. Honda says that it will implement the fixed investment plan and focus on the research and development of the organizational construction and production capacity. Although the overall sales volume of auto in China has decreased in August and September than the corresponding period in the last year, the sales volume of Honda is just as expected since new models were launched by it this year. Currently, Guangzhou Honda is developing auto of self-owned brands. It is estimated that they will be sold by 2010.
