Chinese Shares Slightly Up, 01/19

Chinese share prices closed 1.65 percent higher on Monday amid worries in shrinking corporate profits.
The Shanghai Composite Index gained 1.65 percent to 1,986. The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.94 percent to 6,982.
Combined turnover reduced to 120.45 billion yuan (17.2 billion U.S. dollars) from 147.14 billion yuan on the previous trading day.(Xinhua)
