Holden's Managing Director Mark Reuss has announced the appointment of Richard Marshall to the position of GM Holden Director, Energy and Environment.

He will, in addition, liaise with peak bodies, government departments, tertiary institutions and regional GM offices. His responsibilities extend to the GM Premium Brands also.

Reporting directly to Reuss, Marshall, a 20-year Holden veteran with a Bachelor of Engineering degree from RMIT and a diploma in Technology Management from Deakin University, will commence working in the new role from January 12, 2009.

"I welcome Richard to this critically important role," says Reuss.

"His leadership, passion and expertise will help GM Holden expand its EcoLine range of vehicles, as well as the infrastructure needed to support them."
