INDUSTRY OVERVIEW



Agriculture is considered to be one of the nation’s largest industrial sectors, accounting for 21% of the country’s GDP and 44% of the total employment in this sector.



The exports of the food group grew by 22.4% in the fiscal year 2007 - 8, contributing 26.1% in the overall exports growth. However the imports accounted for 11% of total imports thus contributing 16.3% in the overall growth of imports.    



IFTECH Pakistan is aimed to gain remarkable recognition as an interactive and the most productive networking platform for the local as well as international industry.

Inaugural Ceremony



Mr. Rauf Siddiqui, Minister for Industries & Commerce, Government of Sindh, inaugurated the event on 13th May 2008. The ceremony was largely attended by the representatives from various consulates, exhibitors and members of media.
