Furukawa Machines: High Work Rates

[2009-01-13]

Furukawa machines use proven components, such as fuel efficient Tier 3 engines like Cummins or Cat C9 in various models, while increased compressor capacities allow fast flushing of blast holes during drilling and enable high work rates. Furukawa machines' high work rates are helped by the HD715 drifter, which has an impact rate of 2150 strokes per minute and a rotation speed of zero to 150 revolutions per minute. A dual damper system maximizes energy transfer for straighter holes.

A magazine holding six 3.66m rods (plus an additional rod on the drill) allows quick rod addition and permits a bore depth of 24m. The ED models have a unique feature to overcome obstacles in areas where the surface may not be entirely level. The offset function of the ED's drifter mounting, coupled with its telescopic arm, allows placement on either raised ground or in depressions, leaving the base machine on a level footing.
