Toy boxes May be Exempted From China Furniture Duties

The U.S. Department of Commerce is seeking public comment on a proposal to remove toy boxes from an antidumping order that imposes duties on Chinese-made wood bedroom furniture.
The DOC has issued a notice that it plans to revoke the duties on these items. The preliminary ruling is based on a Nov. 25 request from the U.S. manufacturers that petitioned for the original antidumping case to remove the items from antidumping order.

Those interested in submitting written comments on the proposal must do so no later than 14 days after the Jan. 9 publication in the Federal Register. Rebuttals can be submitted within 21 days after the publication date.
The DOC will issue its final determination on these items no later than 270 days after the date for which it initiated the review, or within 45 days if all parties agree with the preliminary results.
