China Runji Cement's Second Production Line Exceeds Expectations

[2009-01-14]

China Runji Cement Inc., a producer and distributor of cement in Anhui Province of China, today announced that its second cement clinker production line has successfully broken through its designed capacity of 2,500 tons per day and produced 2,700 tons per day and 2,800 tons per day in November and December 2008, respectively, to meet the growing market demand.

Meanwhile, CRJI's first cement production line, which was also designed to produce 2,500 tons per day, successfully achieved its production target of 1 million tons in 2008.

Surpassing the original capacity of the second production line was made possible thanks to a combination of technological, technical, and organizational factors within CRJI. With proper operation workflow and facility management, boosting the production capacity beyond the original limit will not harm the production line.

The quality of the cement clinker produced from the second production line has also proven to be in full compliance with Chinese national cement quality standards. Following CRJI's compliance with National GB/T 19001-2000 and ISO 9001:2000 standard attestations in 2006, the Company undertook many effective measures to ensure product quality while increasing production capacity. These included installation of restrictive raw material supply systems, a highly-standardized production process supervision system, international advanced cement production techniques, and finished goods quality control system.

"In 2008 CRJI has proven its capability to increase production and enhance profitability. The ability to increase the output of our second production line beyond anticipated capacity should allow us to continue making competitive, high-quality products while reacting quickly to changes in the market," Runji's Chairman and CEO, Mr. Zhao Shouren stated. "In response to the growing demand in our market, we are taking many initiatives to increase our production capacity. We engaged over 30 qualified, motivated and experienced technicians and workers to further strengthen our technical operation team in 2008. By increasing the capacity of our two production lines, we are able to further reduce fixed production costs and meet increasing demand among our customers. Despite the global slowdown, we expect to continue 2008's strong growth into 2009."
