Four Chinese Steel Plants Raise August Steel Plate Prices

Four Chinese steel plants raised their August steel plate prices by 50-500 yuan/ton Monday, stimulated by the warming up of the domestic steel market.

Benxi Iron & Steel Co. adjusted its August steel prices by 300-500 yuan/ton while Anyang Iron & Steel Group Co., Guangxi Liuzhou Iron & Steel Co., and Guangdong Shaoguan Iron & Steel raised their prices by 50-200 yuan/ton.

Benxi Iron & Steel lifted its benchmark price of hot-rolled steel products by 300 yuan/ton, that of cold-rolled steel products by 430 yuan/ton, galvanized zinc price by 430 yuan/ton, and color-coated sheet price by 500 yuan/ton.

Anyang Iron & Steel Group adjusted up its price of medium steel plates by 175.5 yuan/ton and that of hot-rolled steel coils by 175.5 yuan/ton.

Guangxi Liuzhou Iron & Steel raised its price of hot-rolled steel coils by 50 yuan/ton and that of cold-rolled steel coils by 100 yuan/ton.

Guangdong Shaoguan Iron & Steel adjusted up its price of ship plates by 100 yuan/ton and that of low-content alloys and carbon plates by 80 yuan/ton.

The four steel groups' listing companies are respectively Bengang Steel Plates Co., Angang Steel Co., Liuzhou Iron & Steel Co. and SGIS Songshan Co..
