NDRC: China's H1 Cement Output up 14.9% yoy

News released on the website of the National Development and Reform Committee (NDRC) showed that domestic cement production reached 734.62 mln tons in the first half year, increasing by 14.9% on a year-on-year basis. And the growth rate was 6.2 pct higher than the same period of last year.

In the first six months, cement prices saw a decrease trend all over China. In June, the average price of key monitored cement enterprises was 289 yuan per ton, 16 yuan lower than that in May.

In the first five months, China's building materials industry realized profits of 41.9 bln yuan, up 13.7% year on year. The profits of cement industry increased by 21% to 10.3 bln yuan.
