North, East, South and West of Asia are seeing the revival of the building and construction boom as well as massive infrastructure development, coupled with a brighter global economy, manufacturing and production output are also on the rise.





All these development projects have in turn spur the demand for use of fasteners, tools and hardware in the Asian markets.





Hence, the Premier International Exhibition on Fasteners, Tools and Hardware in Asia (FTHA 2006) is set to provide a focus marketing platform for companies and major industry players to come together to explore business opportunities as well as to discuss market trends and future developments.





Asia is estimated to spend USD$250 billion annually for the construction and upgrading of its roads, power plants, communications, water and sanitation systems.





The auto parts industry, the third largest generator of income to Thailand is geared up for higher growth, with the Thai government placing concrete policies and strategies to increase overall automotive production target of 800,000 million baht by 2006. Of this amount, more than 200,000 million baht will be from auto parts alone. Thailand will also be spending on infrastructure projects such as new subways, elevated trains and a new causeway across the Gulf of Thailand.





In January 2005, Indonesia unveiled a five-year plan, worth $145 billion to improve infrastructure. Already underway are two coal-fired power plants, an extension of Jakarta airport, a Mass Rapid Transport System and a $1.47 billion gas pipeline.





The Indian government?0?8s plans to spend US$150 billion to improve on transport links and infrastructure. Airports in New Delhi & Mumbai will be undergoing upgrading and restructuring, while new airports are being built in Hyderabad and Bangalore. The surge in India?0?8s air infrastructure projects present abundance of opportunities for foreign investors looking to ride on the construction boom.
