Shanxi institute ,Shell to cooperate on alternative fuel

Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry (ICC) has signed an agreement with Royal Dutch Shell plc to jointly develop a process to convert synthesis gas from coal into alternative fuels on 28th Nov in Beijing.



The head of ICC, Sun Yuhan told China Economic Jornal that by the end of April in next year, the pilot synthesis gas projects in Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi and Shanxi will result in fruitful production, further more, will promote this technology to industrialization in nationwide.



These days, The Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies has been striving to enlarge its market share in China. Slightly earlier, it has made a great progress in the cooperation with Qatar Petroleum International (QPI) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in the construction of a joint-venture large-scale oil refining integration project, earlier reports said.
