Electric motors bring Coposes revenues to 140m euros

   Ana Holding, whose owner is well-known businessman George Copos, has budgeted a business worth 140 million euros for this year, 15% more than the previous year. The profit of the group will consecutively increase by 1 million euros, to 12 million. "The biggest contribution comes from Pitesti-based Ana Imep, which operates in the electric motor manufacturing industry. We are hoping that its turnover will reach 100 million euros by 2008," said Copos, former Deputy Prime Minister. The Ana Holding group also includes Ana Hotels, which operates a series of hotels, among which Athenee Palace Hilton and Crowne Plaza in Bucharest. Ana Hotels has budgeted a turnover increase of at least 5-7% for this year, to approximately 38 million euros.

   Last year, the company posted total sales worth 35.5 million euros and an operating income worth 15 million euros, over half of the business being derived from the Hilton hotel.
