| The flat panel subsidiary company of Panasonic, IPS Alpha Technology, announced that it planned to establish 'IPS Alpha Technology Malaysia Sdn.Bhd.' in Malaysia at the production point of LCD module for TV (LCM). Approximately 900 million yen is invested to establish this new company in 'Panasonic AVC Networks Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Sdn.Bhd.', a production base of Panasonic TV located in Shah Alam Industrial Complex of Selangor State of Malaysia, and under Himagi Plant (IPS Alpha Technology Himagi) to supply LCM on the LCD TV assembly point of Panasonic in Asia. It commences to operate in February 2009 with the initial monthly production of 50,000 units, eventually planning to increase for 3 million units per year. |
