Chi Mei Optoelectronics Announces Unaudited Third Quarter 2008 Net Sales of NT$

Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) (TAIEX: 3009) today announced its third quarter 2008 results(1). Combined TFT-LCD net sales for the third quarter 2008 amounted to NT$ 81,988 million, a 14% decrease over the previous quarter's NT$ 95,489 million. Gross profit was NT$ 2,451 million, for a gross margin of 3%. Operating loss totaled NT$ 3,474 million with an operating margin of -4.2%. Net loss amounted to NT$ -4,187 million, where NT$ -3,965 million was attributable to the shareholders of the parent company. EPS equaled NT$ -0.56.
