[2012-02-16 17:32:57]

On February 14, 2012, the U.S. International Trade Commission announced a rapid final antidumping (AD) sunset-review ruling on uranium originating in Russia, confirming that terminating the suspended antidumping duty investigation on uranium from Russia would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.

As a result of the Commission's affirmative determination, the existing suspension agreement will remain in place.

On December 5, 1991, the U.S. Department of Commerce launched the antidumping investigation into Russian uranium under HS codes 26121000.00, 28441010.00, 28441020.10, 28441020.25, 28441020.50, 28441020.55, 28441050, 28442000.10, 28442000.20, 28442000.30 and 28442000.50.

On June 3, 1992, the U.S. entered into the Standstill Agreement with Russia and terminated the antidumping investigation.

On July 1, 2011, the Department started the third antidumping sunset review.
