Announcement No.115, 2008 of the Ministry of Commerce on Initiation of Anti-dump

II. Products to be investigated and investigation scope
Investigation scope: certain imported iron or steel fasteners originally produced in European Union countries, including wood screws, self-tapping screws, other screws and bolts (whether or not containing nuts or washers, excluding screws to be used for fixing rails or screws and bolts with shank diameter no more than 6mm) and washers. Screw nuts are not subject to this investigation.


Products to be investigated: Certain Iron or Steel Fasteners
Main applications: for purpose of this documentation, iron or steel fasteners refers to mechanical components made of carbon steel for fastening or connecting purpose, widely used in automobile industry, electronic equipments, mechanical equipments, construction and building, general industries, etc.

The products to be investigated are classified under Customs Numbers 73181200, 73181400, 73181500, 73182100 and 73182200 in the Customs Tariff of Import and Export of the People's Republic of China. The above Customs Numbers are only used for determining the scope of the imported products to be investigated.

III. To register for defending
As for the anti-dumping investigation, any interested party may apply for defending with the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports of Ministry of Commerce within 20 days after this announcement is issued, and the exporter or producer concerned shall provide the volume and value of products concerned it exported to China from July of 2007 to June of 2008. The Registration Form for Anti-dumping Response can be downloaded from the "Announcement" column on the website of the Bureau of Fair Trade for Imports and Exports of the Ministry of Commerce: http://gpj.mofcom.gov.cn.

As for the industry injury investigation, the interested party may apply for anti-dumping response with the Bureau of Industry Injury Investigation of the Ministry of Commerce within 20 days after this announcement is issued, providing information relevant to production capacity, output, inventory, project under construction and expansion plans during the industry injury investigation period, as well as the volume and value of products to be investigated they exported to China during such period.
