The EU Preliminarily Ruled on Anti-Dumping Duties on Glass Fibers from China

On September 16, 2010, the European Commission decided to impose provisional anti-dumping duties on the glass fiber products exported from China to the European Union (EU).

As to enterprises involved in the case, apart from Changzhou New Changhai Fiberglass Co., Ltd. which got the duty rate of 8.5% based on market economy treatment, all the other enterprises shall be subject to the provisional anti-dumping duty rate of 43.6%.

On December 17, 2009, the EU initiated the anti-dumping investigation on Chinese glass fibers, choosing Turkey as the subrogate country.

It is estimated that the EU will make a final ruling on this case around March 2011.
