The EU to Impose Tariffs on High-Quality Paper from China

According to a report on Oct. 22, 2010 from a foreign media, the European Commission has proposed to levy tariffs on high-quality paper imported from China.

According to informed sources, the European Commission found that Chinese-funded paper enterprises, especially Asia Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. (APP), are dumping products at unfair low-prices in the EU market. It is planned that a tariff of about 20% will be imposed on APP and tariffs about 40% will be levied on Shandong Chenming Paper Holdings Limited and other major Chinese paper exporting enterprises.
