Chinese-funded enterprises lead the Romania motorcycle market.

According to the statistics of motor vehicle manufacturers and importers Association (APIA), in the front 9 months of 2008, the total sales volume of Romania motorcycles and scooters was up 5 times comparing with the same period of last year, reaching 13000, of which 3/4 sales are achieved by one Chinese-funded enterprise called RICH MOTORS.

Statistics show that the motorcycles and scooters sales of RICH MOTORS are 9500 in the front nine months of 2008, and the following are Biaozhi (1200), Yamaha (400), Suzuki (300), Lifan ( 200) and Honda (200). Over the same period, BMW and Harley-Davidson were sold out 60 and 65 motorcycles.

RICH MOTORS is a sports-oriented operating enterprise and was registered in Romania in 1999. It entered motorcycle market in 2006. The company's products also include bicycles and fitness equipment.
