Hooker Furniture extends lease at High Point Market

Hooker Furniture, a manufacturer of living room furniture, bedroom furniture, home entertainment furniture and more, has announced that it has signed a multi-year lease agreement at the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) in High Point, NC, and will be expanding its showroom space.

The IHFC was the original showroom building in High Point. Today, it is home to 650 home furnishings manufacturers and covers 3.5 million square feet.

Hooker Furniture's new lease is for 100,000 square feet of showroom space and will feature showrooms for by several Hooker brands including Hooker Furniture, Bradington-Young and Sam Moore Furniture.

Paul Toms, chairman and CEO of Hooker Furniture, said the company he believes High Point Market will have a strong future. "We believe High Point is the premier market where we can best serve the majority of our customers for the foreseeable future in a cost-effective way," Toms said.

Headquartered in Martinsville, VA, Hooker Furniture has been manufacturing furniture for 83 years, and it is one of the largest publicly traded furniture company in the United States.
