Endless Raining Drags Down South China's Cement Prices

[2009-07-08]

Domestic average cement price lingered around 336 yuan per ton at the beginning of July, 5 yuan lower than that in the same period of last month.

In the south of China, a dozen days of raining dragged cement demands down. Local cement prices dived: the cement price Wuhan was 20 yuan lower than that before the rain; Nanjing also witnessed a drop of 10-20 yuan; Chengdu saw another price decreasing of 30 yuan followed 50 yuan diving last month.

On the other hand, cement prices in the north stayed unchanged thank to the good weather and balanced supply and demand.
