The 19th East China Fair Exhibition Invitation
East China Fair (ECF) is the largest regional trade fair in China with the most traders, great variety of exhibits and the most onsite deals. With an annul 5-day session from March 1st in Shanghai, ECF is co-sponsored by nine provinces and cities, namely Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong Province and two cities of Nanjing and Ningbo. East China Fair, initiated in 1991 and thereafter 18 sessions have been held successfully. The 18th East China Fair had 19,263 business visitors from 145 countries and regions as well as 60,000 of their Chinese counterparts. The trade volume amounted to about 3.68 billion US dollars. More than 720,000 persons had surfed the website of ECF. The 18th East China Fair was held at Shanghai New International Expo Center , from March 1st to 5th, 2008, with an exhibition area of 103,500sqm. There were four specialized exhibition areas with 5,346 standard booths and 3,592 enterprises, namely Fashion/Garment, Home Textiles, Art Deco Stuffs/Gifts and Consumer Goods. Overseas exhibitors were from 8 countries and regions such as USA , France , Italy , Canada , Japan , South Korea , HK and Taiwan . A great variety of traditional and new products were displayed with more focus on high-tech, famous local brands. The 19th East China Fair will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center in March 2009, with an exhibition area of 103,500sqm and 5,000 standard booths available. Final Report of the 18 th East China Fair(2008 Shanghai) 1??riefing The 18th East China Fair (2008 Shanghai) was held in Shanghai New International Expo Center from March 1st to 5th 2008. The exhibition halls were separated into four parts as Garments, Home Textiles, Art Deco Gifts, Consumer Goods (including Electronic Consumer Goods sector), covering an area of 103,500 square meters and having 3,592 exhibitors with 5,346 standard booths in the fair. It received 19,263 merchants from overseas, and among which 7,440 are new merchants. Within the 5 show days, the total amount of trade deals was US锛?,678 millions, up 3.52% over the previous year. 2??Overseas Merchant Analysis The 18th ECF attracted 19,263 overseas merchants, who come from 145 countries and regions. As statistics, 12,392 Asian merchants came to the Fair, which was the largest group. The next one was 3,555 from Europe and 2,217 from North America. Among them, 93 delegations organized by 23 foreign governments and associations came to ECF for purchase and negotiation. There were also overseas exhibitors came from 8 countries and regions, such as United States, France, Italy, Canada, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Many overseas exhibitors played two roles in this fair. They were not only suppliers but also purchasers as they purchased commodities from other exhibitors.
