According to Kashkar customs statistics??the exportation of shoes through the ports of Turugart??Yi Erke Stancel??Kala Su??Khunjerab in Southern Xinjiang totaled 199 pairs and worth of 1.53 billion U.S. dollars??with an increase of 130% and 177% respectively??most of footwear made in synthetic leather and sold to the markets in Central and South Asia. The exports of footwear account for 17.2% of total foreign trade value in local area.
