The export of leather clothing in Jiangsu saw negative growth in November

Foreign trade in Jiangsu province suffered a great deal from the global financial crises??particularly even worse in the export of clothing. According to statistics of Nanjing customs the export of textile clothing in Jiangsu port is worth of 2.03 billion U.S. dollars in January to November??up 17.9% year on year??but the export value shows four months consecutively decline since August??especially in November it is first time showing negative growth in terms of export value??dropped by 9.3%.
Due to financial crises and the consumption fall in the EU??the United States and Japan??clothing export continuously decline??because their most products sold to these three countries. Meanwhile the situations in domestic markets turn to worse??clothing sales in national department stores dropped dramatically in October??winter wear and leather clothing fell 29.3% and 35.66% respectively. Clothing making enterprises are experiencing a ??cold winter??.
