Tesco increases range of exotic fruits and vegetables Supermarket chain Tesco is adding a variety of exotic fruits and vegetables to the grocery section at its stores, revealed the Telegraph. In response to consumer demand, the retailer has doubled its range of world food produce. Consumers are finding traditional groceries boring and are looking out for newer varieties under this category, the retailer maintained. In line with this, Tesco said that it is adding new items to its grocery section. Mooli, a white radish from India; chow chow, a slightly bitter gourd; and dudhi, an Indian courgette-like vegetable, will be available at stores across Britain. The retailer now stocks 50 varieties of exotic fruits and vegetables. Out of these, mango and then the plantain are known to be customer favorites. |
