Elastic Expansion Thermal Insulation Paint Successfully Developed

Recently, the "elastic expansion thermal insulation paint " successfully developed by the    Institute of Building Fire Research of China Academy of Building Research. The overall technological level reaches the international advanced level, which has been identified by experts team organized by China Academy of Building Research.

Mr.Zhang Lixin, researcher of Institute of Building Fire Research of China Academy of Building Research, said the paint is compounded by neoprene as bonding material, expanded graphite as expansion material, aluminum hydroxide flame retardant, reinforcing agent, and other accessory ingredient. The elasticity, flexibility and other performance reach the highest level in domestic. The paint overcome the problem of " blow off " when "expansion graphite paint" touches fire , while "charring expansion " of the paint has higher strength, which can be widely used in various building components and fire protection layers of building materials surface . The paint is used for fireproof rolling curtains, windows and doors,  greatly reducing the heat radiation. The tear strength can be increased 53.4 percent and the elongation at break can be increased to 362 percent when the paint is painted on fiberglass cloth.
