China Nov coal price drops sharply, NDRC

China’s coal price dropped sharply in November, according to data from the National Development and Reform Commission.
The average ex-mine price of main coal-producing provinces declined nearly 100 yuan/t from 824 yuan/t in October to 725 yuan/t in November, representing a decrease of 12.1 percent month on month.
The price of thermal coal in November fell to 509 yuan/t from 560 yuan/t in October, down 9.09 percent, a sharp fall compared with a 0.7 percent dip in October this year.
Coking coal price stood at 1,013 yuan/t, declining 13.86% from 1,176 yuan/t in October, as compared with a slight fall of 1.63 percent in October from September.
The FOB price of thermal coal in Qinhuangdao port tumbled 17.9 percent to 680 yuan/t from 829 yuan/t in October.
