    China : US firm on restricting Chinese wool trouser imports

    China has opposed US decision to restrict Chinese wool trousers imports and accused that US decision goes against WTO agreements.

    Chong Quan, Ministry of Commerce spokesman stated that the US has refused to comply related World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements.

    China and the US held latest round of meetings on textile and garment trade disputes earlier this month, however there was no positive outcome of those talks.

    Quan said that China seeks an amicable solution for both the countries as regards textile and garment trade clash.

    The US Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements announced that it is determined to impose curbs on Chinese woolen trousers.

    Earlier this year, the US has already imposed alike restrictions on seven category of Chinese clothing.
