Price Fixing Fines for 12 Korean Fiber Firms

November 2001 — The current edition of Asian Chemical News reports that the South Korean Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) has fined a dozen manufactured fiber producers a total of nearly $400,000 for price fixing in the July to September 2000 period.

The ACN report notes that the price increases were in the 2 to 5 cents / lb range, and that appeals are possible within 60 days.
