Bradley Hill of Solutia Elected New AFMA Chairman

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 26, 2001 — At the close of its annual meeting, the Board of Directors of the American Fiber Manufacturers Association announced the election of Bradley Hill as the new Chairman of the Association for the coming year. Hill is Vice President and General Manager of Solutia, headquartered in Atlanta, GA.

For the past year, Hill has been serving as Vice Chairman of AFMA, and Chairman of its Executive Committee. He succeeds Art Roth, Jr., President and CEO of Universal Fiber Systems LLC, who remains on the Association’s Executive Committee.

Geoff Schofield, Chief Executive Officer of Drake Extrusion, was elected the new Vice Chairman of AFMA, and Chairman of the Executive Committee.

The AFMA Board also elected as its treasurer Walter W. Hubbard, Group Vice President of BASF Corporation. In addition to Hill, Schofield and Hubbard, the other members of the AFMA Executive Committee are Lowell Bivens, President and General Manager, Acordis Industrial Fibers, Inc.; Steve McCracken, Group Vice President and General Manager, DuPont; and Eduardo Rocha, Vice President and General Manager, KoSa.

The American Fiber Manufacturers Association is the trade association for U.S. producers of manufactured fiber.
