17-09-2008 Danish chairs destined for Nordic universities

Danish furniture company Fumac A/S, headquartered in Randers, has successfully marketed its chairs designed by the prize-winning Danish designer duo Busk + Hertzog.

Most recently Fumac delivered 500 of its Zet chairs to the university in Helsinki, and earlier this year Fumac delivered 500 of its Whisper chairs to the university in Bergen.

 

Fumac’s marketing director Henrik Arnt Jensen has high expectations for Fumac’s relatively new role as a chair supplier. “A few years ago, Fumac was especially known as a supplier of office workstations for small companies with 10 to 20 employees. When we joined forces with Busk + Hertzog in 2000 on a new range of office furniture, we did so, among other reasons, to get our foot in the door at large-scale interior design projects, and we’ve succeeded to the full. The fact that we’re also known as a chair supplier is a valuable side effect,” says the marketing director.
