Inner Mongolia Exp-Imp Value Up 46.8% in Jan-May 2017

According to China Customs statistics, from January to May this year, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region export and import of goods totaled 41.49 billion China yuan, up 46.8% year-on-year (YOY), including export value 14.69 billion yuan, up 46.1%, and import value 26.8 billion yuan, up 47.2%.
The main exports included: electromechanical products worth 2.73 billion yuan, double YOY; agricultural products worth 2.33 billion yuan, up 1.9% YOY; labor-intensive products worth 2.11 billion yuan, up 59.7% YOY. The three together accounted for 48.8% of total export. The main imports were resource-based goods, including: coal worth 6.05 billion yuan, up 2.8 times YOY; sawn timber worth 3.99 billion yuan, up 30.1% YOY; copper ore worth 3.47 billion yuan, down 29% YOY; the three together accounted for 50.4% of total import.
