Guangdong Solar-Cell Export Up 6.2% in Quarter 1, 2017

According to China Customs statistics, in the first quarter of 2017, Guangdong Province export of solar cells totaled 440 million China yuan, up 6.2% year-on-year (YOY).
March export value increased significantly. This February value was the lowest since 2016, but March value rebounded much to 200 million yuan, up 31.5% YOY and up 1.3 times from February.
Pakistan, EU and ASEAN were the main export markets. In the first quarter, the export worth 190 million yuan was to Pakistan, up 72.6% YOY; 23.69 million yuan worth to EU, down 63.3% YOY; and 22.04 million yuan worth to ASEAN, up 10.6% YOY. The three markets accounted for 54.1% of the total export value.
