Fujian Province Ship Export Down Mildly in First Half 2017

According to China Customs statistics, in the first half 2017, Fujian Province exported various ships worth CNY 1.99 billion, down 8.7% year-on-year (YOY). Over the same period, Fuzhou Customs District exported ships worth 1.5 billion yuan, up 41.4% YOY. June exports hit a new high since 2017. In June alone, Fujian Province exported 680 million yuan worth of ships, up 21.1% YOY and thrice from May.

In the first half year, the ship export to ASEAN reached 1.55 billion yuan, up 78.5% YOY, accounting for 77.6% of the total; export to the Marshall Islands reached 160 million yuan, no value last year, accounting for 7.9%; export to South Korea 120 million yuan, no value last year, accounting for 6.1%.

In the first half year, the export of non-navigating ships such as light-boats, fire-fighting vessels and crane vessels reached 830 million yuan, up 6.9 times, accounting for 41.4% of the total; export of tugboats and push boats reached 530 million yuan, down 40.1%, accounting for 26.6%; load≤100,000 tons oil tankers reached 200 million yuan, up 3.9 times, accounting for 9.9%; load≤150,000 tons motorized bulk cargo ships reached 190 million yuan, up 1.3 times, accounting for 9.4%.
