Dalian Imported Soybeans More in First Half 2017

In the first half of this year, Dalian Customs District imported 3,686,000 tons of soybeans, up 16% year-over-year (YOY); worth 10.65 billion yuan, up 33.6% YOY; average import price at 2,889.5 yuan per ton, up 15.2% YOY.
This June alone, Dalian import of soybeans reached 669,000 tons, down 4.2% YOY and down 6.6% from May; average price at 2,711.2 yuan per ton, up 6.1% YOY and down 2.7% from May.
Brazil was the main source of import. In the first half year, the import from Brazil reached 2,071,000 tons, up 20.7% YOY, accounting for 56.2% of the total import. Over the same period, the import from the USA was 1.45 million tons, up 4%, accounting for 39.3%.
