Shanghai Mobile Phone Export Up YOY in Jan-July 2017

According to Shanghai Customs statistics, in January-July 2017, Shanghai exported totally 23.209 million sets of mobile phones, up 10.9% YOY; worth 46.14 billion yuan, up 25.5% YOY; export average price at 1,988.1 yuan each, up 13.1% YOY.
This July, Shanghai Customs exported 3,422,000 mobile phones, up 18.9% YOY; export price at 1,964.6 yuan each, up 6.9% YOY.
In the first 7 months, the export by processing trade reached 21.02 million sets, up 15.2% YOY, accounting for 90.6%; the export by ordinary trade reached 2,154,000 sets, down 13.8% YOY.
During the period, the export to EU reached 7,943,000 sets, up 1.7 times YOY, accounting for 34.2%, making the largest export market; the exports to the United States and ASEAN reached respectively 7,511,000 and 1,261,000 sets, down 13.5% and 9.6% YOY, accounting for 32.4% and 5.4% respectively. In addition, the exports to Australia, Canada and Mexico respectively reached 785,000 sets, 713,000 sets and 709,000 sets, up 1.7 times, 24.2 times and 14.6 times YOY.
