Jiangsu Imported Beef & Mutton More in Aug 2017

According to Nanjing Customs statistics, from January to August this year, Jiangsu Province imported beef and mutton 11,000 tons, down 26.6% year-on-year (YOY); worth 460 million yuan, down 10.9% YOY; average import price at 42.1 yuan per kilogram, up 21.4% YOY. In August alone, the import quantity was 1852.2 tons, up 26.3% YOY and up 26.1% from July; worth 75.83 million yuan, up 51.4% YOY; import price at 40.9 yuan per kilogram, up 19.9% YOY and up 9% from July.
