Shandong Imported Paper Pulps More in QTY & Price in Jan-Sept 2017

According to Qingdao Customs statistics, in the first three quarters of this year, Shandong Province imported totally 4.463 million tons of paper pulps, up 12.8% year-on-year (YOY); worth RMB 18.46 billion yuan, up 26.7% YOY; average import price at 4,135.5 yuan per ton, up 12.4% YOY.
Brazil, Canada, the EU and Chile were the main sources of the import. In the first three quarters, Shandong imported 1.162 million tons from Brazil, up 37.9%; 921,000 tons from Canada, down 2.4%; 617,000 tons from the EU, up 5%; and 452,000 tons from Chile, up 12.1%; the four together accounted for 70.6% of the total import.
