Ningbo Cross-Border E-Commerce Imports in 2017

According to Ningbo Customs statistics, in 2017, Ningbo Customs District cleared cross-border e-commerce import declarations totaling 45,929,600 forms, with sales amounts totaling 8.011 billion Yuan, respectively up 60.48% and 48.85% year-on-year; through cross-border e-commerce, more than 10 million consumers bought commodities from Japan, Germany, Australia and South Korea, the best-selling commodities including infant formula powder, paper diapers, and cosmetics.
In recent years, cross-border e-commerce has been fast-growing in Ningbo, especially on promotion seasons. For example, on November 11, 2017, the retail imports by cross-border e-commerce reached 6.01 million consignments, value totaling 970 million Yuan, respectively up 8.6 times and 7.8 times year-on-year, both the quantity and the value ranking first of all China Customs Districts.
