Hangzhou Export down 5.6% in January

According to Hangzhou Customs statistics, in January 2018, Hangzhou export and import totaled 44.01 billion yuan, up 1.7% (YOY), including export value 28.89 billion yuan, down 5.6%; import value 15.12 billion yuan, up 19.3%, with trade surplus of 13.7 billion yuan, down 23.2% YOY.

In January, our city has a dramatic decrease in traditional developed market, export to the EU, US, Japan drop by 7.9%, 9.8% and 10.9% respectively. There is a stable export increase in the burgeoning market like ASEAN, Latin America and Africa, up 1.6%, 1.4% and 23.66% respectively. In addition, there is a 0.8% small decline to the nations alongside the Belt and Road.
