Tianjin Exported Mobile Phones Less in Jan-Sept 2017

According to Tianjin Customs statistics, in the first three quarters of this year, Tianjin exported mobile phones totaling 16.29 million sets, a decrease of 14.5% year-on-year (YOY); worth RMB 7.48 billion yuan, down 12.5% YOY; average export price at 459 yuan per set, up 2.3% YOY.

Export Characteristics:

1. This September, the export quantity was 1,631,000 sets of mobile phones, up 9.6% YOY and up 0.5% month-on-month; average export price at 433.8 yuan/set, up 0.9% YOY and down 6.2% month-on-month.

2. In the first three quarters, the export by processing trade reached 16.03 million sets, down 15.2% YOY, accounting for 98.4% of the total.

3. In the first three quarters, foreign-invested enterprises exported 16.03 million sets, down 15.4%, accounting for 98.4%.

4. In the first three quarters, the export markets included: the EU with 3,291,000 sets, down 38.2%; the United States with 2,432,000 sets, down 17.2%; the ASEAN with 2,085,000 sets, down 29.4%; Russia with 1,339,000 sets, up 1.7 times; the United Arab Emirates with 1,227,000 sets, down 20.7%; Chile with 1,203,000 sets, up 39.2%. The six markets together accounted for 71.1% of the total.
