Beijing Export-Import Value CNY214.89 BLN in Jan. 2018

According to Beijing Customs statistics, in January 2018, Beijing regional export and import totaled CNY 214.89 Billion, up 22.6% year-on-year (YOY) and up 1.4% from December 2017 (MOM). Therein, import value was 178.2 billion yuan, up 22.2% YOY and up 6.2% MOM; export value 36.69 billion yuan, up 24.5% YOY and down 16.9% MOM.

Trade Modes: ordinary trade reached 187.36 billion yuan, up 39.8% YOY, accounting for 87.2% of the total; import and export under special customs control totaled 11.09 billion yuan, down 4.6% YOY, accounting for 5.2%; processing trade reached 10.52 billion yuan, down 55.3% YOY.

Major Trading Partners: Beijing import-export trade with the EU (28 countries) reached 29.17 billion yuan, up 44.7% YOY; the trade with United States reached 23.07 billion yuan, up 53.1% YOY; the trade with ASEAN reached 20.78 billion yuan, up 58% YOY.

Major Export Commodities: this January, Beijing-exported electromechanical products totaled 16.63 billion yuan, down 3.4% YOY; high-tech products worth 6.57 billion yuan, up 1.3%. Specifically, oil products reached 11.97 billion yuan, up 1.4 times; mobile phones worth 1.66 billion yuan, up 21.9%; steel products 1.42 billion yuan, up 5.3%; textile and apparel 1.32 billion yuan, up 7.2%; ships 1.01 billion yuan, down 40.9%.

Major Import Products: this January, Beijing-imported electromechanical products reached 41.02 billion yuan, up 26%; high-tech products 16.02 billion yuan, up 5.9%. Specifically, imported crude oil worth 78.84 billion yuan, up 25.3%; automobiles 13.95 billion yuan, up 38%; natural gas 11.25 billion yuan, up 56.7%; agricultural products 10.2 billion yuan, up 25.9%; iron ore 4.33 billion yuan, down 53.7% YOY.
