The Announcement of Standardizing the Import Order of Scrap Metal, Waste Plastic

In order to standardize the import order of scrap metal, waste plastic and paper and the import declaration for enterprises, crack down on countering price and promote the development of renewing and recycling industry, as from April 1, 2010, partial classification catalogues and declaration method of importing scrap metal, waste plastic and paper will be adjusted. Consignees and agents should declare to the Customs and fill in the declaration form according to this announcement. Relevant commodities excluding those of this announcement should be declared to the Customs still in accordance with the Index Catalogue on Essential Standard Data Required by China Customs for the Declaration of Import and Export Goods. The announcement No. 61 of the General Administration of Customs in 2003 will be abolished at the same time.
